I recently met up with (almost) 2-year-old Jack. Like most toddlers, Jack loves to take off and run as he curiously explores his nearby surroundings. His parents said that their friends always ask why their parents don’t post many photos of him recently and their response was “He just doesn’t stop running! Every picture we try to take comes out blurry!” Any parent of a toddler is probably familiar with that challenge, so we headed to beautiful Endicott Park in Danvers, Massachusetts to see if we could catch the little guy in motion.
Fortunately for us, he stopped for a few moments and we were able to take some adorable photos of him and his fun-loving parents.
While Endicott Park has a number of beautiful backdrops for family photography on the North Shore, it also has a wide range of sights for adults and kids to see. Between the animals in the little barn, to the historic old carriage house and so many other great sights at this park, it kept Jack busy (and moving).
I remember the days when my 11-year-old was Jack’s age and I couldn’t take my eye off her for even a moment. I was exhausted and I could hardly keep up with her. That time flew by in the blink of an eye and soon, the running toddler was replaced by an inquisitive and (slightly) calmer young girl. It was amazing to get a little glimpse back into this time of parenthood and to see all of this hilarious and unexpected reactions to so many things.
This shoot was so much fun and I’m confident Jack will continue to curiously explore and keep his parents on their toes! Happy (almost) Birthday little Jack!
